For a young child, being admitted into a hospital is a fearful and undeniably daunting experience. “Animals,” located in the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, acts as a colorful welcome for the children and their families into the pediatric department. The mosaic’s purpose is to soothe and distract the children, while simultaneously radiating hope, love and positivity. The animals were mosaicked by the women of the Cancer Art Therapy Studio, along with the help of child patients, families, and staff.
